Linda OSteen Memorial Scholarship
Barbara Buccini is a member of our chapter and a Student at Tallahassee Community College, where she is completing her Associate of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. Barbara has a son and a grandson, Alexander. She received her two (2) Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Human Resources Development from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Tampa. Barbara is a published writer and works with the deaf community to bring awareness to the same. Barbara is pursuing a Paralegal career because she has been interested in the legal field since she assisted her son in gaining his custodial and parental rights to his son – her grandson, Alexander. After experiencing pitfall after pitfall, Barbara developed an undeniable passion for changing the way society and the court system viewed unwed fathers. Today, Barbara works with Leon County Public Works as the File Manager, where they are currently designing a virtual archive and file system. Their goal is to go to a paperless system in the future.
We encourage Chapter members to attain the CP, ACP or FCP designation and to participate in CLE seminars, BBC, PAF, and NALA seminars and annual meeting events.
